Brief History

CPE Mont-Royal opened its doors in 1979. Prior to that, it was a private nursery named "Mount Royal Nursery". Shortly after, it became a non-profit childcare center called Garderie Mont Royal. In 1999, it became a daycare for young children called CPE Mont-Royal. Today the CPE is a non-profit incorporated corporation under Part III of the Companies Act. We hold an occupancy permit issued by the Town of Mount Royal and a permit issued by the "Ministère de la Famille" for eighty (80) children.

Mission

CPE Mont-Royal’s mission is to promote the global and harmonious development of the children entrusted in its care by creating for them a safe, secure and organized learning environment as well as a structured and consistent daily routine.

The CPE Mont-Royal embraces the concept of active participatory learning which allows the children to have direct hands-on experience with the world and people around them.

The CPE Mont-Royal recognizes and fosters an active partnership between the educators and the families to enrich the children’s educational experiences and strengthen their sense of belonging.

CPE Mont-Royal strives to provide an employee-friendly environment in which goaloriented individuals thrive as they achieve ever more demanding challenges. CPE Mont-Royal’s vision is based on the fact that each child is a unique individual who develops at his/her own pace, in relation to his/her cultural, economic, family and social environment. We want all children to be respected as such, giving them the opportunity to grow and learn at their own pace and to reach their full potential.
